Vehicle Rights Guide

Plain-English pointers to official lemon law, warranty and repair-record sources. Independent; not a law firm.

Repair log tool

Enter each time the vehicle went to a shop for a problem. The tool adds up visits per problem and days out of service so your records are tidy for you, an arbitration program or an attorney. It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is saved, uploaded or sent; closing the tab clears it, so use "Download CSV" to keep a copy on your own device.

Do not enter your VIN, name, address, plate or other personal details. Use short problem labels like "transmission shudder". This tool counts what you type; it does not decide whether your vehicle is a lemon. States count days and repair attempts differently, so confirm with your state's official page.

Your counts

Add a visit to see counts.

Compare with a state's official numbers

Day counts here: "calendar days" counts the drop-off and pick-up dates both; "weekdays" counts Monday to Friday in that span and does not know holidays. Official counting rules may differ (for example, the Alaska page refers to business days and the Oregon page to calendar days).
